Santa Baby- We're Hosting a party, What do I wear?

We ALL love a GREAT party! But let's face girls we always agonize over what to wear! So, I thought I'd jot down just a few little tid bits of advise for us all to make it easier and take that hour of staring at the closet away this year.

First of all make it festive! Not the kind with those reindeer or snowflake sweaters we all have hanging around in our closets or in our drawers, but sparkly and shiny! Think Holiday Chic...but will hold up through setting up,eating, drinking, and gift exchanging. Something that is functional and FABULOUS all at the same time!

You can NEVER go wrong with wearing all black and bold accessories. Try a colored sequined top with your favorite denim and a sexy pair pumps. Whatever you choose make your self feel special..you deserve it! And remember just because it is a Christmas party/gathering you DON'T have to wear red or green. Leave that for Santa and the elves.

Dress with fierce enthusiasm  for your party..it will set your mood and tone for the rest of the day.

Tis the season to be jolly..so have have fun and ENJOY the friends and family that will be surrounding as you eat drink and be merry!

Your Closet Is NOT Your Enemy!

Saving the basics and saying "Good-bye"!
That's what sooo many of us need to do to make friends with our closets. You make a solid foundation of your wardrobe needs and get them organized, keeping those essentials in the forefront at all times and dressing becomes a joy again. The basics and essentials are always the same for every lady..guys even you have basics and essentials to live by. But, for us gals a few of them would be a pair of classic pumps, a little black dress, a classic white shirt, a sassy cardigan, the PERFECT fitting denim, cool pencil skirt.. you see where this is going. Amazing classic basics you can do ANYTHING with! When you own these you can create and accessorize them into many different looks. By saying "good-bye" to those other items that are just taking up space and confusing us in our everyday dressing decison can be quite FREEING! I mean afterall why keep something that doesn't fit right or is tattered or hasn't been on your body in months or even years? If nothing else, donate it to your favorite charity or local Goodwill.
Just remember, fashion and style IS FUN! Ask yourself 3 things: "what do I have" "What do I need" "What do I want"? You will be on the way to the wardrobe that is perfect for YOU!

Turkey Day Dressing

Thanksgiving is a big American holiday! It is not a religious holiday it is a day of rest and to be with family and friends! AND for some a day of football as a big part of their traditions. It is a being together and enjoy each others company, partaking in scrumptious food and sipping on drinks.

So, when I think of dressing for a Thanksgiving get together, I think of Casual Easy Chic. A low kicky heel for you gals, a fun pair of jeans or cords. Maybe that cool pair of wool cargos, or just a nice pair of wide legged pants. Tops should have some life and personality. Even a fun long sleeved T with some AWESOME accessories to punch up the outfit. Guys a nice button up or cashmere sweater will do nicely! It's all about being comfy, yet not sloppy. So when those pictures come back later you say" What the heck was I thinking?"

If you are the Host or Hostess, keep a fun and festive apron handy. This is the best way to assure no "accidents" happen to your clothes...as well as they are ALWAYS a super conversation piece.

Regardless of anything else, be comfortable so you can have a wonderful time!

If The Shoe Fits

Size Does Matter! It is SO important to have your feet professionally measured. This way you know your exact corrrect shoe size. Proper fitting shoe look and feel oh soooo much better! They last much longer too! Gone are the days of the shoe size from when we were sixteen...but then for some of us so are alot of things. Bodies change, age creeps in and yes our feet expand. Darn it! Invest in GOOD shoes, the stakes are too high and your feet and comfort are worth it! Because let's face it when our feet hurt, we don't have a good day, or a good time and those blisters leave scars. And those are stakes none of us should be willing to pay!

Lifted

A bra that fits you well will work HARDER than anything else in your wardrobe. Seek out a bra-fit expert at a lingerie boutique or department store for expert help in determining your exact size and which styles best fit your shape. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT! Not all of us are meant to have those Demi Cup/ Skinny Strapped numbers...and that is OK! Own what you have and make it look FABULOUS! Because when your under things fit just right, you stand tall and are more confident about how you look!
